Quotes & Labour
If you would like to request a quote for a costume please email Kai with:
The name of the character
Name of the series
Date requested by
And a few reference pictures (or links to them)
Unfortunately at this time we do not do leather work, armor, props, wigs, boots, mascot type suits or accessories (hats, gloves, jewelry, etc.)
We require at least 8-12 weeks in advance per order. Construction can be anywhere from 4-8 weeks (depending on my schedule and work load) and we prefer to be flexible with shipping.
Our quote will only cover the cost of labour; for the cost of materials and shipping please see below.
Before we can begin working on any commission we will also need some detailed information from you such as your measurements (height, waist, chest/bust etc)
Q: I think that X is a bit pricey for X or Y
A: Unfortunately this comes down to basic economics If you interested check out; Cost-of-production theory of value, Labor theory of value or the wikipedia article on Price.
Basically the reason X or Y might seem expensive is due to the minimum amount of labor required to make it. Most clothing requires an absolute minimum of 10-15 hours from start to finish; design analysis, pattern drafting, fabric Shopping, construction and detailing (not including travel time!) So, unfortunately even working under minimum wage its simply not feasible to do 8, 10, or 15 hours of labour for $50!
Materials, Scouting and Construction:
The cost of materials will be determined by you, before we begin construction we will go to our local textile district and scout materials in a range of textures, material, and prices we take pictures of each, and email you with the details. If you are unsure of what kind of material you want, we will make suggestions and/or choose for you.
We are willing to send demo suits to ensure the best fit at your expense/request.
ShippingShipping is done on a per order basis, we will contact you with the shipping details as soon as we know (typically the day after completion)
If you live in the City of Toronto or close by we can make house calls to schedule fittings and provide drop off for your order.
Q: Why cant you include shipping in your original quote?
A: Shipping in Canada is calculated by the weight and size of the package. We wont know how much it will cost until its completed.

Cost Breakdown = Labour(quoted) + Materials + Shipping (determined after completion) - Deposit.
Refund policyGenerally we will only issue a refund if we fail to meet the due date and only if it was our fault, we will gladly negotiate a partial refund if you do not receive your order due to the post office being the post office...
The Deposit is NON REFUNDABLE no exceptions.
